The minimalist, art deco style Hotel Bachaumont was perfect during my stay in Paris. The 49-room hotel is the debut property of the La Cle Group and designed by French interior designer Dorothee Meilichzon, who was recently named Maison & Object Paris’ 2015 Designer of the year.

The simplistically designed furniture all help to create space in the Parisian sized bedrooms; marble side tables and fabric headboards create a cosy yet effortlessly stylish environment. The lighting throughout the hotel is elegant and a personal favourite of mine, a similar design to Michael Anastassiades and Allied Maker globe light fittings, both of which I have used a lot of in the past.

The restaurant and bar on the ground floor is owned by Experimental Group, the renowned French trio Romée de Goriainoff, Pierre-Charles Cros  and Olivier Bon. The concept for the restaurant is a modern take on a French brasserie, with simple contemporary details, tilted mirrors and bright fabric prints on the chairs. It makes the perfect chill out area for coffee, a bite to eat or even a cocktail depending on how you feel!
