Last July I traveled to the South of France to enjoy a beautiful week celebrating with good friends and even better wine! We made the decision to arrive a couple of days earlier and explore what Carcassone had to offer.

Camellas-lloret is ideally located 20 minutes from the cité de Carcassonne and is surrounded by stunning countryside, vineyards and canals. The story behind the restored farmhouse all starts with the owners, Annie an interior designer from New York met Colin a chiropractor and wellness consultant from South Africa on a train in Paris and have since shared their philosophy for slow living and passion for design.

This beautiful guesthouse is all about slowing down, spending time with loved ones over a meal and good music or just kicking back and relaxing in one of the guesthouses communal rooms. The interior has an eclectic mix of antique furniture, neutral linens and beautiful details that both Annie and Colin have restored.

It’s a great place for a long weekend getaway in a quiet tranquil spot, a place for wine lovers and design lovers. Ask Annie and Colin for their local recommendations and your guaranteed to find some culinary treats and amazing views.
